The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging built the “AAHSA Idea House” inside of Chicago’s McCormick Center.  This house incorporates Aging-in-Place, Technology and Sustainable design concepts.   The design plan allows for flexibility by all users with a forward thinking approach to maintain a person’s safety and functioning in the home for years to come.  The integrated technology adds yet another layer of security, helping to monitor “motion, moisture on the floor, medication and weight just to list a few”.   Click on the embedded link above, or the video for more details.
